The Huntington North High School (HNHS) boys varsity basketball team hosted the Knights of East Noble High School on Saturday, Jan. 8, earning a win over the Knights.

The first quarter was a close one, with HNHS earning just two more points than their guests and starting the second quarter 17-15. Quarter two was much more impressive for the Vikings, as HNHS earned more than double that of East Noble. During quarter two, East Noble earned 11 to Huntington’s 24, which brought the score to 41-26.

The third quarter was slower for HNHS, scoring 12 to bring things to 53. East Noble, adding 10, still had a 17-point deficit to make up for, going into the final quarter with a score of 36.

Both teams exploded in the final quarter, holding nothing back. East Noble managed to nearly double their score within the final quarter, earning 32 for a total of 68 points. HNHS was still able to hold them off, earning 25 additional points for a total of 78.

Zach Hubartt scored a total of 26 points for the evening, leading the team. He was followed closely by Will Hotchkiss, who earned 24. Wyatt Dohrman had 14.
