New Forester Malott to compete in King of Lanes

Incoming freshman Jordan Malott, a recruit for the Huntington University (HU) men’s bowling program, will compete in the 2022 PBA King of the Lanes event this summer with his father Wes Malott.

The contest will air in prime time on Fox Sports’ FS1 over five consecutive weeknights starting June 6.

Jordan and Wes will compete in the first-ever PBA King of the Lanes: Royal Family Edition in which prominent PBA stars team up with their talented children in the quest to become bowling’s royal family.

The three-day battle will be held in Jupiter, Florida.

“It’s been my lifelong dream to be able to bowl an event with my dad,” said Malott. “I hope to make him proud.”
HU men’s bowling team coach Mike Shockey said that Jordan will bring a lot of experience and talent to the Foresters’ roster.

Since 2005, Wes Malott has won ten PBA Tour titles and was the 2008-09 Chris Schenkel PBA Player of the Year. His resume also includes 18 PBA Regional Tour titles. He has rolled 41 perfect 300 games and this past February was inducted into the PBA Hall of Fame.

Jordan will enroll at Huntington this fall as a sport management major.
