Harrison Niswander is going to State.
The Huntington North distance runner won the 1600 meter run at the Marion Track & Field Regional Thursday night, May 26.
Niswander won the 1600 with a time of 4 minutes 21.56 seconds, 1.19 seconds head of Fort Wayne Concordia’s Gabriel Connelly.
Niswander qualified for regional in the 800m run but didn’t compete in the event.
The 4x400m relay team of Brayden Voght, Tony Decker, Caleb Reust, and Gavin Byerly placed fifth with a time of 3:30.66.
Vought also finished eighth in the 400m dash with a time of 51.67.
Byerly placed eighth in the 800m run, crossing the finish line in 2:01.14.
Reust finished eighth in the 300m hurdles with a time of 40.80.
Niswander will compete at the IHSAA Boys Track & Field State Finals Saturday, June 4 at Robert C. Haugh Track & Field Complex at Indiana University, Bloomington, beginning at 3 p.m.
