Oak Hill High School standout Landon Biegel officially inked with Huntington University earlier this week. Biegel is Coach Kory Alford's first signing to his 2023-24 recruiting class.
"Landon is a highly skilled guard with great positional size," said Alford. "He is a pure shooter with deep range and will fit into our offensive system well. Landon was a priority for us and we're excited to have him join us next year."
Biegel is off to a hot start in his senior campaign. The 6-4 sharpshooter is averaging over 25 points per game which includes a career-best 42 points against Maconaquah last weekend. He also posts 8.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.8 steals per night for his 4-1 Golden Eagles' squad.
As a junior, Biegel joined Oak Hill's 1,000th point club. The 6-4 shooting guard tossed in 22.6 points to go along with seven rebounds and two assists. He helped guide his team to a perfect 8-0 record in conference play and county championship and for his efforts was named All-State Honorable Mention and the Conference and County Player of the Year.
Biegel was also an All-State Honor Mention pick as a sophomore when he averaged 18.6 points. His resume includes being tabbed First Team All-Conference and All-County as an underclassman.
Biegel comes from a successful pedigree of basketball as both parents played in the Crossroads League, then the Mid-Central College Conference, during their college years.
