Despite Huntington University recording the first goal of the game, it was the last goal of the game that proved the biggest as visiting Madonna broke a 1-1 tie by scoring in the final minute to beat HU on Thursday, Aug. 26.
After a silent first half, freshman Nick Bunting scored HU's first and only goal unassisted in the 53rd minute.
The Forester's advantage barely lasted, however, as Madonna's Max Washko scored the Crusaders' first goal in the 55th minute.
Things stayed quiet again until the last minute of the game - minute 89 - when David Ujkic hit Madonna's second goal to seal the win for the Crusaders.
Madonna had 22 shots to just nine for the Foresters, with only two HU shots making it on net.
Forester goalkeeper Chris Fox had six saves, while Crusader goalie Parker Laabs had one.
