A young Huntington University women's soccer team dropped its first game of the season to host Olivet College (MI) 3-1 on Wednesday, Sept. 1.
With 19 of its 25 members being freshman and sophomores, Huntington found itself in a hole quickly, as Olivet scored its first goal in just over a minute and one-half into the game. The Foresters were able to re-cover just over 11 minutes later with a goal of their own by Claire Creasy to tie the game.
The Comets responded with a second goal at the 23rd minute, and net its final goal with just 12 minutes to go to secure the win.
Huntington was outshot by Olivet 24-14 during the game. HU goalkeeper Caitlin Adams recorded nine saves.
