Eli Y. Byler, 81

Eli Y. Byler, 81, of rural Bryant, IN. Jay County, passed away at 7:08 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at his residence in Bryant, IN.  He was born on Tuesday, November 10, 1942, in Enon Valley, PA. Eli was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Surviving are his siblings, sister – Katie (Eli) Byler, Middlefield, OH, brother – John (Janie) Byler, Oklahoma City, OK, brother-in-law – Alphaus Speicher, sister – Mary (Daniel) Schwartz, Linesville, PA, sister – Susan (Samuel) Schwartz, Portland, IN, sister – Lydia (Menno) Schwartz, Berne, IN, sister – Katie (David) Schwartz, sister – Frances (late Samuel) Schwartz, brother – Jerry (late Lizzy) Schwartz, brother – Samuel JJ Schwartz, Geneva, IN, brother – Daniel (Rachel) Schwartz, Geneva, IN, brother – Jacob (Katie) Schwartz, Carlise, KY, sister – Susan (Andy) Hostetler, OH, sister – Sally (Al) Byler, OH, brother – John (Maggie) Speicher, PA, sister – Sadie (John) Schwartz, PA, sister – Katheryn (Reuben) Zook, PA

Deceased are his parents – John & Lydia (Byler) Byler, sister – Lizzyann Schwartz, sister – Mary Speicher, brother – Ben Byler, brother – Daniel Byler, brother-in-law – Jacob J Schwartz, niece – Lizzy Schwartz, nephew – Samuel Schwartz

A visitation will be held at the David E. Schwartz residence 348 E. 700 S.  Berne, IN on Sunday, May 5, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

A funeral service will be at the David E. Schwartz residence 348 E. 700 S. Berne, IN at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, with Pastor Sam N. Schwartz officiating.  Burial will be in the Bunker Hill Amish Cemetery in Geneva.

Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
